The Hall is a registered charity (No. 304212) and is managed by a committee of Trustees. They are mostly volunteers from the local community who are elected annually at the AGM and some are nominated by organisations who regularly use the building.
The officers for 2020 are Bob Burrell (Chairman), Ann Morton (Hon Secretary) and Anne Martis (Hon Treasurer). Bookings and day-to-day matters are looked after by our Hall Manager, Lindsay Walker.
The committee play a vital role in planning & developing the future of the building, from adding new storage rooms to installing air conditioning and solar panels.
We are always looking for new volunteers to bring fresh ideas to the table, so if you feel you could contribute please send us a message from the contact us page.
Hall History
The original village hall was opened in 1961 as the Kings Sutton Memorial Hall. By the 1990s it was showing its age and plans were drawn up for a new hall.
With the help of a Millennium Commission grant, the new “Millennium Memorial Hall” was opened by Lord Heseltine CH, in 2001.
