Emma Thomas and Associates are a team of specialist physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistants offering neurological and stroke physiotherapy to people with any problem affecting the nervous system.  With many years of experience between us we offer a high quality, effective service. 

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to help people to get back a sense of themselves, to work on what is meaningful to them, to not only work towards independence but also towards activities that they enjoy. 

We help people to gain confidence in their ability to move and exercise and aim to leave people with a clear plan so that they can continue to work towards their long term goals after physiotherapy has ended. 

We have an exercise room that can be used outside of physiotherapy to continue with exercise and improve fitness.

Exercise room

Our exercise room, including the MindMotionGO, can be hired by the hour following assessment and prescription of a tailored programme by one of the physiotherapists.  We can also offer supported exercise with our physiotherapy assistant. 

MindMotionGO

We are very fortunate to have a MindMotionGO computer game system in the clinic.  MindMotion has been developed by neuroscientists and uses virtual environment-based technology. It provides access to neurorehabilitation gamified activities to enhance peoples’ recovery potential.  It is fantastic at improving people’s motivation and engagement towards their recovery.

We are based in the ground floor of the Health Centre in rooms 1 and 2.
